The Bed and breakfast Tourist House Ricci is right in the heart of Florence Via dei Martelli 7 a few minutes far by foot from Piazza San.Giovanni,better well known as Piazza Duomo.
The B&b is located on the first floor (15 steps) in the Florentine seven hundred years old historical Palazzo Martelli.

From 2000 the Ricci family run the activity . Today is Stefano under the careful supervision of his father Vittorio who hosts toghether with his “company “ Ottavio and Vincenzo.

Stefano,Ottavio and Vincenzo are happy to offer you their assistance , to take care of museums and restaurants reservation , to take care of concerts and sports event tickets, as well they’ll provide you guided city tours for visiting the best sightseeing of Florence and the main tuscan places

Palazzo Martelli, center of the House-museum Martelli, preserves an art gallery with sculptures, valuable frames and pictures (Piero di Cosimo, Luca Giordano, Domenico Beccafumi and others). Antique furnishing is preserved too.

The 700 hundred palace was built from the arch. Bernardino Ciurini for the senator Marco Martelli.
The palace from the outside present a non quality facede with smooth frames but overall there is a terrace at the “nobil level” with wrought iron balustrade and portal arch.

On the facede of the palace there’s a shrine that contains a Madonna done by Mino da Fiesole.

The Martelli family was registered at the art of sword and lance and become one of the more eminent and onored in Florence. On their coat of arms there is a real gold coin with a griffon rappresented. There is a magnificent model of it sculptured from Donatello and it’s actually preserved at the Bargello.
A copy instead is inside the Martelli Palace where the original was once.
